Happy Thanksgiving week! The library will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Sunday, November 28 to allow staff and Sunday volunteers time to celebrate the holiday.
If you recall last week’s library column, I shared about our microfilm digitization project that’s in the works and nearing completion. We’ve had a wonderful response to this announcement, especially from patrons who would love to do family history research but are not always in the area. This week’s thankful moment or Project Number Two on our list is hopefully just as welcome of news to those who live near and far. We are nearing the release of a redesigned website! Our website is currently under construction in the background and should be completed in December. Greenlakelibrary.org will have a fresh new look, new organization, expanded search options, and will be mobile-friendly for ease of use on any device. It will still have all the awesome resources, links, lists, classes, services, and more that you can always expect from our website.
Another great option for a mobile-friendly library catalog search that’s available right now, is to download the Winnefox Mobile App from your device’s app store. After you login with your library card and pin number you can search for your next great read, place a hold on upcoming releases, and renew items. One excellent benefit of the Winnefox Mobile app is the ability to link family cards. Once the cards are linked through the app, you can renew items as needed and manage items checked out on various cards all in one location.
Thanks again for reading. Check out next week’s article for news on Project Number Three!
