Our last two Return to the Oscars films at 2 pm on Thursdays are as follows: October 28th—Minari and November 4—Nomadland. Minari tells the story of a Korean American family that moves to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American dream. Amidst the challenges of this new life in the strange and rugged Ozarks, they discover the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home. Nomadland depicts a woman in her sixties who, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad. Both films received six Oscar nominations and Nomadland earned the award for Best Picture. We hope to see you there!
A new Curiosity Kit is now available, and it includes DIY 3D glasses, a spooky floating eye experiment, and some extra fun items for kids to discover. Kits are free and available while supplies last. Make the 3D glasses by Saturday, October 30th at 10 am for a 3D showing of Hotel Transylvania on the big screen. We are excited to see the creative spin on each set of glasses and to see the happy faces behind them.
