Newspaper Column for July 23, 2020

We’re heading into the home stretch of the 2020 Summer Reading Program – only two more weeks to go. That’s still plenty of time to catch the reading bug, though, and have a chance to win some awesome local prizes! So far, we have 48 participants and a total of 27,636 minutes read. For our sixth week of doings we are growing fun with our activity packs, and they are already flying out the door. Next week the activity packs will wrap up with a clang, rattle, and bang!

Looking for a little outdoor adventure? The library has a variety of outdoor adventure backpacks for kids and a camping backpack for adults. We also have fishing gear kits and disc golf sets available to check out for a week at a time. The ever popular Extractigator and Metal Detector seem to be on a continuous rotation, but we can certainly add you to the list. And remember we have a spotting scope, telescope, and binoculars to help you see the Neowise comet in a little more detail. Come check them out!
