December 20th Newspaper Column

Just a short column this week so everyone can get back to the holiday festivities…

We often look back at the end of the year to think about what was said and done, who we loved and lost, where we’ve gone and where we wish we had. We had our share of all of that here among the library staff in 2018. But what comes through most clearly, every year, is the love we receive from the greater Green Lake community. And we can’t thank you enough. Your time, efforts, donations, smiles, encouraging words, suggestions for improvement, all mean so much. We appreciate each and every one.

We appreciate the library staff and volunteers, too, and in order to help everyone celebrate Christmas with loved ones, the library will be closed Sunday, December 23 through Christmas Day. We will reopen at 9:00 Wednesday morning, the 26th. So we hope to see you in here Friday and Saturday loading up on good books and movies to share over the holidays. Audio books to listen to on the drive to grandma’s, perhaps. We even have a few Christmas music CDs still available for checkout. And we definitely look forward to seeing you on the 26th to hear how you celebrated!
