November 30th Newspaper Column

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the library this week. And that’s a good thing, given all the things happening this Saturday morning! Many thanks to the Friends of the Library for decorating again this year.

About those Saturday happenings. There will be things to do both on the main level and downstairs at the library beginning at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast with Santa, the Friends Holiday Book Sale, and the Friends Christmas Cookie Sale all get started at that auspicious hour. Cookies are being sold in one pound boxes of homemade goodness for $7 each until they are gone. Breakfast (pancakes, applesauce, beverage, and a seasonal treat) can be yours for $3/person until 10:30. Santa will listen to requests until that time, too. And shoppers are sure to find some giftable bargains at the book sale, which will keep going until 12:00 noon. Lots to do and see (and eat) that morning. Please join us throughout December as we celebrate the season.
