Need information on long term care options? Then you may want to stop by the library Thursday morning at 10:00 when we welcome Miriam Ownby and Robin Wolzenburg of Markesan Resident Home to the library. The ladies will present “Critical Points to Evaluate when Considering a Care Facility.”

Next Monday morning’s special guests are a father and son musical team with a program called “Building Big and Tall Tunes.” There will be singing and instrument playing, of course, but also dance and song writing and a recording session with the audience! Get in on the fun beginning at 10:00.

And on Tuesday evening, June 27, we are very pleased to welcome author Melanie McManus to the library to talk about her new book Thousand-Miler: Adventures Hiking the Ice Age Trail. For thirty-six thrilling days, Melanie hiked 1,100 miles around Wisconsin, landing her in the elite group of Ice Age Trail thru-hikers known as the Thousand-Milers. Her book Thousand-Miler takes you through Wisconsin’s forests, prairies, wetlands, and farms, past the geologic wonders carved by long-ago glaciers, and into the neighborhood bars and gathering places of far-flung small towns. Melanie will tell lots of stories about and from the trail. A book signing will follow her 6:30 presentation. I hope you will join us.
