June 15th Newspaper Column

Today we welcome Jean Romback-Bartels from the Wisconsin DNR as our Thursday Morning Conversations guest. Find out the latest DNR news and ask questions over coffee and donuts this morning at 10:00. Those who like to plan ahead will want to note that next week’s guests are staff members from the Markesan Resident Home.

The summer reading program is in full swing. LEGO club meets this morning at 10 in the upstairs meeting room. Friday morning brings story time. Next Monday morning our special performers are the Hillbilly Silly Science Spectacular, featuring both education and mayhem. Monday afternoon (at 2:00) brings a free family concert courtesy of the Green Lake Festival of Music.

There are more things happening every day – visit the library web site at www.greenlakelibrary.org for the latest event news. And we have it on good authority that reading is happening this summer, too. Kids who would like to be rewarded for their reading should sign up for Fang’s Reading Club (earn a free ticket to a Timber Rattlers game!) and/or the library summer reading program. There are great stories to read, programs to attend, and prizes to earn for the next five weeks. You don’t want to miss out.
