There are so many things to celebrate in Green Lake this week. The Green Lake County Fair turns 75 this year, and the County libraries are helping celebrate by having a story and activity time at the fair this (Thursday) morning at 10:30. Bubbles are rumored to be involved in this somehow. Laughter is guaranteed.

That evening we move from giggles to screams, as our summer “big screen worthy” film series continues with Steven Spielberg’s 1975 blockbuster Jaws. I am so glad the only shark (Sharkz) we have on Green Lake is a restaurant…

The big event (in our view) is coming on Sunday afternoon, August 3rd, when we celebrate twenty years of being in our Hill Street building. Everyone is invited to stop by from 2-4:00 p.m. for treats, friends, and music by the Lac Verde Trio. Please come help us say thank you to Tom Caestecker for this wonderful gift he gave to our community.

The events keep coming after the big 20th anniversary celebration. Monday morning, August 4th, we welcome Mr. Ed the magician for a 10:00 show. Some of you may know his work from Camp Grow. Wednesday August 6th we’re having a maker day for tween s and teens involving duct tape and brush bots and other cool stuff. And of course we still have LEGO club, our knitting group, Bible study, and all sorts of other ongoing activities. Hope to see you here soon!
