September 1st Newspaper Column

This morning we welcome Sandy Bernier of Five Counties for Tobacco Free Living as our Thursday Morning Conversations guest. Sandy wants to fill us in on new tobacco products and the new threats they pose to public health. Join us for coffee, donuts, and conversation at 10:00.

Labor Day weekend is upon us and that brings a change in the library schedule back to school year hours. The library will be closed Sunday and Monday in observance of the holiday. On Tuesday, the 6th, we will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays till 6:00 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays till 7:00 p.m.

August 18th Newspaper Column

Rather than our usual informal conversation this morning, we have a special program for you to attend. UW-Extension intern Ali McNamara will be here at 10:00 to talk about Understanding Food Labels. Unsure if “all natural” means the same as “organic” or if “no sugar added” means something is healthy, this is the program for you.  We will still have coffee. Thursday Morning Conversations returns next week with a visit from Town of Brooklyn Chairman Mike Wuest.
