September 13 Newspaper Column

Have you read The Crops Look Good yet? Gotten your tickets to see the author, Sara DeLuca, next month? If so, fantastic. If not, you will want to get started – we have copies to check out, and even to win, available at the front desk. And a tie-in program tonight with the Quilt Lady, Pat Ehrenberg!

Pat will be talking tonight (Thursday, September 13) about quilts from the 1930s. There will be examples to see, stories to hear, and reminiscing to share. All the patterned fun starts at 6:30.

September 6 Newspaper Column

September is such a busy month! Not only do we get real holidays, like Labor Day and Rosh Hashanah and Constitution Day and the autumnal equinox, but a boatload of crazy days – like National Cheese Pizza Day (September 5), Chocolate Milkshake Day (September 12), Play-Doh Day (September 16), and - my personal favorite – International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19. We’ll have a kid’s program for that one!
