June 28th Newspaper Column

I need to begin this week’s column with sad news. Dan Robinson was scheduled to give a concert here tonight (Thursday, June 28) but had to postpone because his mother passed away over the weekend. We hope to reschedule as soon as Dan is ready. I will keep you posted.

World music fans will wish to note that local musician and all-around cool guy Bill Kehl is coming to the library Monday morning, July 2. “Earth, Music, Magic” begins at 10:00 and is open to all. We would love to see you there.

June 14th Newspaper Column

There are special things happening every day this week at the library – some for kids, some for grown-ups, most for everybody. Gotta love summer busy-ness!

This morning (Thursday, June 14th) a large friend snake will be in the library. Fang, the mascot for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball club, will be here from 10:30 to 11:15 or so, encouraging kids to sign up for his summer reading club. Kids up to age 12 can earn Timber Rattlers prizes and a ticket to a ballgame just by reading! Stop by soon to get signed up.
