November 23 Newspaper Column

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We have so many things to be thankful for this year, and since I sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day running of things, I thought I should take a step back and share a few of them with you in this week’s column.

First, I am thankful that as we head into the holidays everyone on staff is doing well. That wasn’t the case at the beginning of the year, so I am thankful for health restored to the people I work with daily. They are an amazing group of coworkers that I am also blessed to call friends.

November 16th Newspaper Column

We are wrapping up our World War One series this week with one last film and two final presentations. Tonight’s (Thursday, November 16) film is The Lost Batallion, set in the closing months of the war and based on the true story of Major Charles Whittlesey and the 308th. The battle scenes will be more realistic than was the case in our previous two movies (both made in the 1930s). The show begins at 6:30.
