Based on the number of inquiries we have received, the biggest news of the week is that the IRS 1040 Instructions booklets have finally arrived.
We have other news, of course. Our featured artist for March is Noel Martin Mortier, the late father of Green Lake resident Lori Arrivo. Noel’s pencil drawings are stunning, and range in subject from portraits to landscapes to wildlife. A reception hosted by Lori will be held on Tuesday, March 12 from 5-7:00 p.m. Earlier that afternoon the Constant Reader Book Club will be discussing Alan Bradley’s The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, the first in his mystery series set in post-WWII England and featuring 11-year-old Flavia deLuce. Not a young woman to either cross or underestimate!
After a short hiatus, movie nights will return to the library on Tuesday, March 19th. Look for screenings of Academy Award winning films (as they are released on DVD) to continue well into April. And I would like to thank Subway of Green Lake once again for sponsoring “Dinner and a Movie” nights in February to benefit the Friends of the library. Tracy Swayze and his family are good friends indeed.
