Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Friends Summer Book Sale this past weekend was an unqualified success – over $3660 was raised over the two days. We so appreciate your generosity in donating items for the sales and purchasing the books and movies and puzzles and what-have-you on offer. We are blessed with a great group of volunteers who organize and run the sales. We are doubly blessed with such a supportive community. And we are very grateful.
The school year is coming up fast – by this time next week the kids at Peace Lutheran School will be back in the classroom, with their public school friends following closely behindyou’re your child doesn’t yet have a library card, please consider adding one to your back-to-school shopping list. The card itself is free, yet it brings a wealth of information and opportunity to students. Please take five minutes out of your schedule and make certain they have the one “school supply” that will reap a lifetime of benefits.

I am looking forward to taking in the Timber Rattlers game tonight (August 15) with the young readers who earned tickets by participating in Fang’s Reading Club. It will be great to see the library’s name up on the Fox Cities Stadium video board! Congratulations to Kaitlin, Chloe, Kelsey, Erik, Emma, Jacob, Briannah, Libee, Kyle, and Olivia on completing the program. Go Rattlers!
