It’s been a busy week already (and I’m writing this on Monday!) so this week’s column is going to be short and sweet.
Please come visit us. We’re air conditioned (or, as we like to say, “the coolest place in town”), a shelter from the rain, and good for all kinds of entertainment. New books and movies and music arrive nearly every day. We have a boatload of programs all throughout the month. We have art on display by local favorite Becky Andersen. There are imagination-inducing toys and puzzles for the kids, a chess set and big jigsaw puzzle for the bigger kids, and computers for everyone.
A couple highlights for the next few days: LEGO club Thursday morning at 10:00, story time Friday morning at 10:00, The Science Alliance presenting Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind Monday morning at 10:00, and Gary Hess giving a presentation on his grandfather’s cooperage Tuesday evening at 6:30. You’ll find out all about how and where those oak beer barrels were made. Details on these and all our other programs are on the library web page www.greenlakelibrary.org
Hope we see you often!
