July 5th Newspaper Column

I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and happy 4th. If you’re looking to extend the celebration, or just for a spot to cool off for a while, head on over to the library for one (or more) of our upcoming events.

Friday morning we will have a summer story time for kids ages 3-8 beginning at 10:00. Expect fun stories and friends to share them with. Saturday morning there will be a family-friendly movie showing at 10:00, and free popcorn to complete the experience. Monday morning (10:00 – are you seeing a pattern here?) brings a live animal program – Zoozort! – to the library as part of our summer reading program. And Wednesday morning we have a double-header of sorts – craft time for ages 3-10 at 10:00 and a visit from Fang, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers’ mascot, at 10:30. Fang is visiting because we’re part of his Summer Reading Club again this year. Kids ages 3-13 have a chance to earn a free ticket to the August 23 home Timber Rattler game just by signing up and reading. There are other cool prizes to earn this summer, too, if baseball just isn’t your thing. Stop in soon for all the details!
