Calling all history buffs! This afternoon, May 24th, Bill Jamerson is visiting the library to present “The Dollar-a-Day Boys.” Bill’s program is a music and story-filled celebration of the young men who worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. We will have treats of the era, too! Bill’s program is made possible by the Friends of the Library.
The last of our library kids is graduating from high school this Sunday. Congratulations and best wishes to Annelise!
There are some schedule changes this weekend due to the Memorial Day holiday. The library will be open on Saturday, May 26, from 9:00 – 3:00, but closed on Sunday and Memorial Day to allow volunteers and staff to celebrate with loved ones.
Memorial weekend also marks the beginning of our summer hours, and there are more of them this year. We will be open summer Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as we have for the past three years. Beginning on May 29th, though, we will also expand our evening hours. From then through Labor Day weekend the library will be open until 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. We hope these extra hours will fit your schedule. Let us know what you think.
