Summer Reading Program 2013 is a wrap. July was chock full of programs and special events and families enjoying the library. For the month we checked out over 7700 items and hosted about 660 people at library-sponsored programs.
Today (Thursday, August 1) is the final day for our summer reading program participants to earn rewards for their efforts over the past couple of months. Ticket orders for members of Fang’s Reading Club are due today, Bingo or Reading Star sheets should be turned in, and we would love to hand out lots of pizza or ice cream or state park coupons to our hard working kids. Congratulations on a well-read summer!
The Summer Reading Program wraps up in style next week. Let me highlight some of the special events we have planned:
Monday, July 29 brings Zoozort at 10:00 a.m. Noelle Tarrant and her wonderful wild animals were here last year and were such a hit that we asked her to come again. Furry, scaly, or feathered, you’re sure to like them all.
Tuesday evening magician Great Scott will be at the library with his Magical Archaeology Adventure. This family-friendly program kicks off at 6:30. Bring everyone – it’s going to be a great show.
