Today we welcome Pastor Karen Gygax Rodriguez from Green Lake’s Federated Church as our Thursday Morning Conversations guest. Ever wonder what pastors do when they’re not preaching? Here’s your opportunity to find out over coffee and donuts.

It’s the week/weekend for graduations. Our congratulations to the kindergarteners and eighth graders at Peace Lutheran School who graduate this evening. Over at the public school, graduation celebrations will be happening for kids from 4K through senior year. Best wishes to them all.

We’ve had another late scratch for our Thursday Morning Conversations this week – although in this case it’s for a very good reason. Police Chief Mike Ratter has been called away to grandpa duty and has rescheduled coming to the library for June 9th. We’ll still have coffee.

Genealogy buffs will want to take advantage of this week’s Family History Friday session from 1-3:00 p.m. Margie Roti Roti knows this stuff better than anyone else I know, and she’s happy to share her knowledge and help you discover bits of information to fill in your family tree.

There is lots of news to catch you up on this week, so I’m going to jump right in.

The children of Green Lake have voted, and Mo Willems’ characters Gerald the elephant and Piggy - best friends extraordinaire – are the favorite. Their 25th and final story just was published last week. We have them all, so feel free to stop in and find out why they came out on top. And here’s a shout out to Cynthia Rylant’s Henry and Mudge, who took second place.
