The children’s programs are winding down (except LEGO Club – that goes right through the start of school), but that just means there’s time to enjoy all the new books and movies we’ve gotten in this summer. Every week we receive boxes full of brand new items just waiting for you to check out. Want to find the newest of the new? If you’re visiting the library, the front display table is always a good bet. New movies and TV series are housed near the photocopier. New picture books are always on show on top of the bookshelves.
We have a busy week planned for you – I’m jumping right to the details.
This morning (July 9) Larry Behlen is our guest for Thursday Morning Conversations. Pretty much anything you want to know about Green Lake history, Larry’s your man. Join us for coffee, donuts, and talk beginning at 10:00.
Those who are doers rather than talkers are invited to LEGO club (also this morning at 10:00) and a very sweet demonstration this evening at 6:30. That’s when Katie Gellings of UW-Extension returns, this time to demonstrate how to make raspberry jam. And yes, there will be samples!
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m having a hard time coming to terms with it being July already. Luckily the programs keep coming to take our minds off how quickly the summer is passing.
Today (July 2) we welcome Town of Brooklyn Chairman Mike Wuest for Thursday Morning Conversations. Join us for coffee, donuts, and a good discussion in front of the fireplace at 10:00. We also have LEGO club at 10:00 for aspiring builders and engineers from ages four on up. Friday brings story time from 10-10:30. And then there’s the holiday weekend!
