Bookstores and Libraries

LISNews -- Borders and the public library

A great article about how Borders is supporting the Hawaii State Library by helping with fund raising.

"At a time when bookstores find that the need to make a profit impels them toward shorter lists of titles, some book marketers believe public libraries soften the blow of potential customer inconvenience by stocking titles that bookstores can no longer afford to carry."

Very true! As well as offering out of print titles for people.
