A short column this week filled with holiday cheer.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the library this past year. We have so many folks who visit and use our services and help out at book sales and keep us open on Sundays and advocate for us in ways large and small – and we are grateful to you all. It takes a city and a town and summer residents working together to make this library a successful enterprise. We truly appreciate your help.
Wow. Thank you to everyone who came to eat and shop at the library last Saturday. After totaling up the proceeds from all three events (breakfast, cookies, and book sale) and at least one generous donation, the Friends made about $1200. You library supporters never cease to amaze me. We are humbled and grateful.
It’s that magical (and tasty) time of year! Come celebrate at the library this Saturday, December 6th.
We’re hosting Santa Claus for breakfast on Saturday morning between 8:00 and 10:30. Regular and chocolate chip pancakes, applesauce, beverage, and a sweet treat are on the menu – still at the low price of just $3.00 per person. Santa will be ready to hear your gift requests, pose for a photo, and even read a story or two.
