Thanks to everyone who came and ate and shopped and whispered their wishes to Santa last Saturday morning. We had an excellent turnout for Breakfast with Santa and the Friends Christmas Book and Cookie Sales. By noon we had raised nearly $1400 that the Friends will put toward programs and materials and services to library users. We can't thank you enough for the support.

Thank you to everyone who has donated items to the food pantry and the quad-county diaper drive in the past couple of weeks. The diaper drive continues through November 30, while we accept items for the food pantry year round. If you’re looking for other ways to give to the community this year, please consider participating in the angel tree program (our tree is in the lobby) or donating your time or treasure to the library.

We know all about Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Now comes Giving Tuesday.

Over the weekend I learned about this new initiative to kick off the holiday giving season. The very first one is tomorrow, November 27th.
