We have one more Money Smart Week event for you tonight (Thursday, 4/23), courtesy of Katie Gellings, UW-Extension Family Living Educator. “Credit and Debt: Making it Work for You” is the order of the evening. Find out about credit scores, what constitutes good debt or bad debt, and strategies for getting on top of your finances. There’s a Money Smart display up, too, in the space just recently vacated by the tax forms (we may have to start calling it the money table).
Ever wonder what a wildlife rehabilitator does? Want to see some birds of prey up close? You can do both at the library this morning as we welcome Rebekah Weiss of Aves Wildlife Alliance for a 10:30 program!
April is a month of celebrations, and the library is in on a number of them.
We’re celebrating National Library Week and the Week of the Young Child – which means picture books are the order of the day. Stop by and tell us your favorite(s) and we’ll compile a list of Green Lake’s favorites to share with the young ones in your life. One of my new favorites is Sean Taylor’s Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise because it lends itself so well to reading aloud. I’ve foisted it off on our Saturday presenter and it got thumbs up from her entire family.
