May 24th Newspaper Column

Calling all history buffs! This afternoon, May 24th, Bill Jamerson is visiting the library to present “The Dollar-a-Day Boys.” Bill’s program is a music and story-filled celebration of the young men who worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. We will have treats of the era, too! Bill’s program is made possible by the Friends of the Library.

The last of our library kids is graduating from high school this Sunday. Congratulations and best wishes to Annelise!

May 17th Newspaper Column

Lots and lots of new books coming in this month, folks, so be sure to check the table (and the library website!) often. We’re sure you will find something just right.

Have you stopped in yet to see the art works on display by John Balian? This Thursday evening (May 17) is an excellent time to view them, as his daughter, our very own Lecia, is hosting an artist’s reception in his honor. Come for the art, the stories, the food, or all three – just plan to come. The reception runs from 5-7:00 p.m.
