Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from the staff of the Caestecker Public Library!
We have much to be thankful for - so many people are generous with their time and talent and money and book donations every year. We are grateful for every one. This library would not exist without the efforts undertaken on our behalf by folks far and near, well known and anonymous. Thank you, one and all.

We’re taking a break from programming this week to catch our collective breath and recharge our batteries for the Thanksgiving-to-Christmas rush. There are many, many new books for readers of all ages and interests to enjoy (the shelves are close to overflowing) and we have a wide selection of movies and television series to tide you over until Aaron Rodgers is restored to health. Plus we turned on the fireplace today and that corner is looking especially inviting this afternoon – it would be an excellent spot to while away an hour or two.
We’re in the home stretch for Austen Fest now, with two movies and one very special event left. Tonight (11/14) we will be screening a Masterpiece Theatre (PBS) version of Northanger Abbey. Saturday we have a matinee showing of Ms. Austen’s most beloved work, Pride and Prejudice. This version stars Kiera Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, and we’ll start the film at 10:30 a.m. Sunday afternoon at 2:00 we send Austen Fest off in grand style with an appearance by members of the Heritage Musick and Daunce Society, coming to Green Lake to demonstrate early nineteenth century dances.
