Another opportunity to show your support for the library
Will you be shopping online this holiday season? If books, movies, or music CDs are on you list, please consider doing part of your shopping through "Giving Reader." This program was set up by one our suppliers, and 20% of your purchase price gets credited to our library account. Which makes our next audio book or suspense novel that much more affordable. Think of it as a way to give to the community at the same time you're giving to your family and friends. Thanks so much!
The Constant Reader
The book discussion group is currently reading A Christmas Guest by Anne Perry -- a holiday mystery featuring Grandmama from Perry's popular Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series. We have multiple copies and various formats available for anyone to pick up at the front desk. Please join us for the discussion on Thursday, December 4th at 6:30 pm.
Build-A-Book Workshop
That same night (12/4), at the same time (6:30 p.m.), we are holding our first-ever Build-A-Book Workshop for kids and their accompanying grown-ups. It's a fun opportunity to get creative together, while allowing young ones an opportunity to tell their own stories. Each Build-A-Book kit comes with a ten-page spiral bound book, loads of pre-cut foam shapes and specialty papers for collage building, a glue stick and mini pen. We will add markers and crayons and other fun craft items to the mix, along with a treat and a chance to share your creation at the end. Cost is $7.00 for the kit. Please call the library at 294-3572 for more info or to register.
Artist of the Month
We are featuring works by many of Pat Dobrinska's students during November, and a beautiful array of paintings they are. Please be sure to stop in.
Knitting Club keeps clicking away
Our knitting group continues to meet on the first and third Mondays of every month at 10:00 am and loves to welcome new members of all ages and experience. Knitting is a very popular pastime -- why not join in the fun?
