October 20th Newspaper Column

We are smack dab in the middle of National Friends of Libraries Week, and I hope you’ve been celebrating! Still deciding about joining? Library Renovation Update 10-14-2016

The first week of lower level renovation is complete. We have lots of plastic sheeting, more two-by-fours than I expected, and a new front garden. What does a garden have to do with the lower level? Well, the whole redo-the-sidewalk project was to benefit the lower level by allowing water to drain away from the building. We also put waterproofing material on the exterior foundation wall, including in the garden area. Plus, it looks pretty. Here are some photos for the curious:
